Throughout my life I have been quietly proud of my WISE ancestry, which has gain significance as I have aged.  Fortunately, both my parents were great historians and knew detailed knowledge of the WISE family since their first arrival in Australia in 1851 and maintained a treasure of documents and photos which we will now share.

My father was an excellent typist and retyped many pages on his old manual typewriter as well as recording other history in hand writing.

In  Anne and my researching and recording of centuries of documented family history there has been a reassuring honour of becoming aware that intergenerational WISE men and woman have passed on similar qualities of highly regarded citizenship, community service, loyalty and faith which will show in the following pages. 

The WISE family has also been excellently recorded by Virginia Rundle in "Relatives Matter".  Some we will duplicate and others will compliment our work.  Geoff
